Exclusive Use Sensory Room

The Sensory Room is a specially designed space, combining a range of stimuli to help individuals develop and engage their senses. Our range of lights, colours, sounds and sensory soft play help to create a safe environment that allows people of all ages and abilities to explore and interact without risk.

All sessions are for exclusive use. Customers, after checking in at reception, will be taken through to the Sensory Room at their session start time. After enjoying their 60 minute session customers must exit the Sensory Room at the session end time. All equipment will be turned on before you enter the Sensory Room. If you require any changes, please let our team know and we will do what we can to adapt your session to meet your needs.

You are required to take shoes off and no food or drink is permitted in the Sensory Room. For your comfort and general safety we would recommend no more than 6-10 people in Sensory Room (dependent on age and size).

Parking is available directly outside of the centre or in bays opposite marked Compass Wellbeing or Compass Disability Services. If full our nearest Pay and Display parking can be found on Belvedere Road, behind Taunton Pool, a five minute walk away.

The Wellbeing Cafe is open from 10am, with last orders at 4pm, serving a range of hot and cold meals, snacks and refreshments, with a Kid Menu, ideal for smaller appetites. Please note that only food and drink purchased from the Wellbeing Cafe can be consumed on the premises, except baby food and bottles, a microwave is available for reheating if required.
